Home buyers and builders are no exception, and for those that are interested in going green, their REALTORS will soon learn that they know their stuff! This course will get students prepared to work as a mainstream green expert! They will learn the characteristics of a high performance home, how the Florida Green Building Coalition™s certificate checklist corresponds to green features within the home, and how to green-up resale homes that are not quite up to par. Keep Florida clean and healthy, and better serve your customers by riding the Green Wave! In addition to the green practices listed above, new environmentally friendly REALTORS will be able to do the following at course completion: Identify eight categories of the FGBC standard checklist, identify seven elements of the high performance home, identify strategies to market HPH benefits and features, identify their market niche, and identify and practice tools to market expertise. She holds the NAR Green designation and has certified training in 203K loans. She also holds certification for CAPS (Certified Aging in Place Specialist). She is also a member of the USGBC Faculty and the ASID ReGreen Faculty. She has been a featured speaker for numerous conferences and seminars. She is also a Board and Founding member of the Sustainable Furnishings Council. An authority on environmental and ecological design, she has designed interiors for organizations such as Green Builder’s Vision House, Florida’s Conservation Lodge Foundation and the American Lung Association’s Health House Program. She has appeared on the Bob Vila Show and his CD for “Baby proofing the Home”. Emphatic about ‘green’ design and creating awareness among the design community, as well as the real estate community, her “green” continuing education courses (CEU’s) are offered throughout the U.S. and are approved by the Interior Design Continuing Educational Council (IDCEC) and/or the DBPR for both licensed interior designers, architects and real estate professionals. She also offers “staging” services and courses for both agents as well as homeowners. She won numerous prestigious Design Excellence Awards from the American Society of Interior Designers for Sustainable Interiors in categories of Commercial, Residential and a LEED Design project.
